General Committee Updates

Jane Purvis • Edition: Spring 2019

Dr. Jane Purvis has been working away on a number of initiatives!

#1: Thinking of going away from the office for a bit? ORA has created a locums portal for all members. Logging on to https://rheumcareers.ca/job-opportunities/ will allow you to post your locum opportunities and will help to match you with an available rheumatologist looking for a temporary posting

#2: The Third Party Payers committee has met with CLHIA to discuss insurance renewal criteria  and duration of renewals. We have also met with CRA and along with CLHIA, we are continuing to advocate for panCanadian criteria for biologic access.

#3: A new project we have started is the Lab Test Reform committee, which will review what lab tests should be added and which ones should be less available
