The ERO committee is excited to be launching the ORA Peer Mentor Forum. This virtual forum was created to increase networking opportunities for ORA members. This will also serve as an archive for commonly asked practice-related questions with responses from fellow colleagues. Members will be able to log into the Forum through the ORA website and participate in discussions related to their rheumatology practice.On February 1st, the ERO committee hosted a practice management workshop at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel in Toronto. This event was attended by over 35 members, including early career and seasoned rheumatologists along with budding rheumatology fellows. Workshop sessions included topics on leasing negotiations, human resource management, capital/equipment purchase to start a new practice, billing basics and fundamentals of drug access. Attendees enjoyed the opportunity to discuss challenges within their practice and to share strategies to optimize their practice. The event received such excellent feedback, we are looking forward to hosting another workshop in January 2020.
