Government Affairs

Mission: To represent the membership by engaging with all levels of government and stakeholders alike on issues that are relevant to rheumatology in the province of Ontariomeet as a committee in person on the Fridays of the June and November retreats and virtually or in person as scheduling determines immediately before the quarterly EAP meetings. Other meetings may be called if necessary.Government Affairs will release information in regular ORA newsletters when requested, and will contribute to emails as is felt necessary throughout the year. Townhalls may also be held if required.

Terms of Reference:

  • Meet with the EAP representatives from the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care on a quarterly basis to advise and advocate for access to medication throughout the province
  • Meet as a committee in person on the Fridays of the June and November retreats and virtually or in person as scheduling determines immediately before the quarterly EAP meetings.
