Point-of-care EMR data analytics will allow ORA members to identify areas of our practice that are doing so well that we can spend less time focusing on them, and other areas that need our attention. Analytics can also identify specific patients who are not meeting the high quality of care we set for ourselves, identify opportunities to make our practices more efficient, and help us improve outcomes for patients with rheumatic diseases.
In 2017, the ORA Informatics Committee set out to provide rheumatologists with the technology to understand what is happening within our own Rheumatology practices. We have consulted widely with Ontario rheumatologists to guide the design of this new technology, our negotiations with technology vendors, and how we can improve the day to day life and efficiency of practice for Ontario rheumatologists.
This project is known as the Ontario Rheumatic Diseases Evaluation Registry (ORDER) Project.
The ORDER Project will bring you a dashboard to view your own practice analytics and compare your practice to provincial averages. You will also be able to instantly visualize the progress of your individual patients over time in a single viewer, document your visits faster, and get back to doing what you do best – seeing patients and providing the best care possible!
