Take a Pain Check Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support and empower youth and young adults with rheumatic diseases. Their annual young scholars program is now accepting applications for the 2025/2026 academic year. Their goal is to empower more students in the rheumatic disease community and award 2 scholarships at $2500 each to help students obtain necessary resources to help them thrive and succeed in their education.

If you believe you have a patient or any contacts who would be eligible for the scholarship, please encourage them to apply.

Eligible students must be:

• Canadian citizens or permanent residents

• Currently enrolled part time or full time in a Canadian university/trade school/college. (undergraduate/diploma)

  • STEM Without Limits: Any STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).

  • Learn Without Limits: A program in any discipline excluding STEM.

• Officially diagnosed with a rheumatic disease

• Display Academic Excellence

• Making a difference in the community
