Holiday Message From Dr. Felix Leung

Dear Members of the Ontario Rheumatology Association,

As the holiday season approaches, I wanted to take a moment to wish you all a happy and safe holiday season. I hope that you are able to take some time to relax and recharge with your loved ones during this special time of year.

I also want to take this opportunity to wish you all the best for the new year. Despite the challenges and uncertainty that we have faced this year, I have no doubt that we will continue to work together and support each other as we move forward into the future.

Wishing you all the best for the new year, and looking forward to continued collaboration and success in the field of rheumatology…

OK, OK I confess.

The above was written entirely by ChatGPT! You know, that AI chat bot that everyone’s obsessed with right now.  We live in an amazing technological age where vast quantities of information are at our fingertips and AI bots are practically indistinguishable from humans. The possibilities for AI in the future seem endless.

Yet it’s the real human interactions and relationships that are truly irreplaceable.  Over the past year I was happy to see so many of you in person and re-connect. I have seen first-hand how all of you have worked together to improve our community and to improve patient care.  I’m proud of the work that the ORA and our members have done and are continuing to do.

Again, I wish you all the best for the holidays and the new year, and I am looking forward to seeing you at the Annual Scientific Meeting in May 2023 at the Kingbridge Centre!

Hasta la vista,

Dr. Felix Leung, ORA President
